Yorkshire Industrial Tyres Logs Calls with e-jobsheet Expansion

Following the success of its UniSerV Call Logging implementation in conjunction with the use of CAM International’s e-jobsheet app at its sister company GW Tyres in Wakefield, Yorkshire Industrial Tyres is introducing the system to its Barnsley site to streamline its processes.

Yorkshire Industrial Tyres Selects CAM’s Solutions

The e-jobsheet app provides greater traceability, ensuring all job sheets are completed and eradicating the potential for invoices to be missed. It also satisfies Yorkshire Industrial Tyres’ desire to be more sustainable and carbon-neutral by reducing the amount of printing it does and accelerating the shift from a paper-based to a digital business.

The introduction of UniSerV Call Logging delivers a central record of jobs and allows more than one person in the office to allocate the work to the closest of the group’s 14 fitters. In addition, e-jobsheet enables the job to be booked out to the requisite customer account, ensuring it is allocated to the correct cost centre if there is more than one account associated with a particular company.

With both GW Tyres and Yorkshire Industrial Tyres outfitted with Call Logging, the businesses will be able to share work via the TiDaeX connectivity platform, where the other party is best placed to service the customer most effectively.

Rob Davies, area manager, Yorkshire Industrial Tyres, says,

“Call Logging integrated with e-jobsheet streamlines the whole process of job allocation, ensuring a positive customer experience while making sure that invoicing is up-to-date. The beauty of e-jobsheet is that it pools all the jobs together in the local area and allocates the work to the nearest fitter available to accept the job. We can see the jobs in progress, when they are completed, and the jobs we’ve got coming up, at a glance.”

“The icing on the cake is the introduction of a colour coding system which logs the time it takes to attend to the job, changing from yellow to red when it goes over 90 minutes. As a result, we will be able to align all the jobs automatically with the SLAs of our fleets and customers, providing a measurable, high-quality service.”

Steve Daly, director of CAM International, comments,

“Like its sister company GW Tyres, Yorkshire Industrial Tyres will reap the benefits of a streamlined, paperless system ensuring jobs and invoices are never missed, as all the central records are traceable and visible. At the same time, it enables commercial tyre service providers to deliver a professional and positive customer experience.”

2021 Volunteers’ Week at CAM

This week is 2021 Volunteers’ Week! We’re celebrating by showcasing some of the amazing volunteering talent we have right here at CAM.

Miles Jarvis in his fire fighting uniform.

Miles Jarvis – #Volunteering for the Firefighter’s Charity

Not content with being CAM’s newest developer and a part-time firefighter, Miles also volunteers for several charities.

“When it’s the right cause and the right opportunity comes along, volunteering is very satisfising work. Helping others is a great feeling!”

“My last big event was our fire station’s Christmas float. As a station, we serve the local community, so it seems fitting that we also help out local causes in the same fashion. Nailsworth Health Partnership were raising money to install defibs around the local town, which definitely stood out as a worthy cause.”

“We also love to support the Firefighter’s Charity who do lots of great work all over the country. I know lots of firefighters who they’ve worked with – myself included at one point."

"In August I’m doing Tough Mudder with some other brave souls from CAM. We’re raising money for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity – another good cause!”

Dave Jones stands alongside the football team he coaches.

Dave Jones – #Volunteering as a Football Coach

9 to 5, Dave Jones is a Technical Delivery at CAM, specialising in the retail sector of the tyre industry. At the weekend, Dave volunteers as the manager and coach for the Seneley and Garswood Juniors Under 9’s!

“I started taking my child when the team were playing in the Warrington Junior Football League Under 7’s. I took up a coaching position which led me to gaining my Level 1 FA coaching qualification.“

“Then at the end of the U7’s season, the manager at the time stepped down. Either I stepped up or the team would fold.”

“For some of our players, this is what they most look forward to all week. We work the kids hard, but we get the response we want from them - effort. This is not just football, this is a life course in learning to do your best.“

“The kids leave with a smile on their face. It’s those smiles that make volunteering worthwhile. “

Hazel Shaw – #Volunteering at Amicii Dog Rescue

A relative newcomer to CAM, Hazel’s role at CAM is all about marketing and communication. But when she’s not talking, tweeting or typing, you’ll probably find her volunteering for Amicii Dog Rescue, pacing the roads with any number of rescue dogs in tow.

“Volunteering makes me value me. I know I can make a difference and seeing that difference is very motivating.“

“I spend about 5 hours a week at my local dog rescue kennels – walking dogs, feeding dogs, cleaning up after dogs! I foster too – although I don’t seem to quite understand the process, as inevitably I end up adopting them!”

“I think it’s important that my kids see me giving my time to others and it rubs off. All 3 get involved with volunteering in their different ways. Being an active and valued member of a community is good for their confidence and develops their social skills.”

'Match Me' - CAM's #Volunteering Promise

As a part of our recently launched 'Match Me' scheme, CAM have made all our staff a volunteering promise. CAM will donate up to 2 days paid ‘volunteering leave’ to match the personal time staff spend volunteering for a charity of their choice.

CAM Commandos Taking on Tough Mudder
#MatchMe Row of CAM staff with green t-shirts and covered in mud.

A crack team of CAM’s finest commandos are set to face their biggest challenge to date - the Tough Mudder 5k.

For one day only they’ll down their keyboards and calculators; swapping their roles as developers, project managers and finance assistants to don their green lycra, becoming CAM’s finest endurance squad!

Mudderhorn, Mud Mile and Kiss of Mud, are just 3 of the obstacles set to put these keyboard warriors through their paces before they meet their muddy end on the Black Widow.

Racing to raise funds for the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, an incredible organisation who have supported many of CAM’s staff and their families during their toughest times.

In recognition of our commandos and the life changing work of Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, CAM has promised to match all donations received via the runners’ Just Giving page.

CAM’s doubling of your donation is an integral part of our recently launched ‘Match Me’ commitment to our CAM team. Not only matching staff’s fundraising efforts, but also matching their personal hours spent volunteering for good causes.

If you’d like to support the fundraising efforts of the CAM commandos, please visit their Just Giving page:
