CAM is expanding its product management team from April with the promotion of Mark Abbott as CAMEO Product Manager, Dan Darcy as e-commerce Product Manager, and Christine Flynn as Industry Solutions Product Manager. Their combined knowledge of the tyre industry, experience, and skills will help the business continue to provide innovative software solutions that meet the needs of the evolving tyre market.

Mark has over 20 years’ experience in the tyre industry, having previously managed the IT function at Oak Tyres. He played a lead role in the user interface design and rollout of CAM’s Warehouse Management System and as CAMEO Product Manager, he will be presiding over the continued evolution of the product, which, in turn, will help drive the operational efficiency and profitability of CAMEO’s extensive customer base.

Dan brings 15 years’ experience leading e-commerce programmes within the tyre industry. His role will focus on the development of the market-leading MIDaS apps for both retail and trade customers - optimising the online tyre shopping experience for consumers, as well as differentiating the purchasing experience for tyre retailers to efficiently place orders with wholesalers.

Christine holds 10 years’ experience in the fleet sector and her new position will see her work closely with the developers behind the scenes, ensuring that e-jobsheet, TiDaeX™ and fitter-force™ are optimised to guarantee the customer has access to the live data and job information. She will leverage her experience as a software tester to ensure that all the functionality meets the constantly evolving requirements of the tyre market.

Chris Allen, Head of People & Process, says,

“Mark, Dan and Christine have demonstrated immense passion towards finding solutions for the operational challenges faced by our industry. Their respective knowledge of the tyre & automotive market has been a driving force behind the innovation in our products and we want to further invest in that, so that our customers feel the benefit.

Expanding our Product Management team will ensure our technological roadmap is focused on developing complete solutions, from design, build, right through to installation and training. In addition, furnishing customers with improved visibility on what's in development will enable the business to deliver greater transparency around product release timelines.”

UK e-jobsheet Dealer Subscribers Hits 60
Tablet showing e-jobsheet in action.

The number of dealers in the UK subscribed to open-access commercial tyre service app e-jobsheet has reached 60. The app connects dealers to several tyre manufacturers, allowing commercial tyre service providers to save administration time and money when conducting third party work. Dealers can also present their own direct fleet work to the highest standards.

Connected dealers share jobs easily, as data is passed automatically via the TiDaeX™ online hub to the contract holder for completion documentation as well as relevant billing data when work is completed by the mobile fitter on the app.

This further enables commercial tyre service providers to enhance their service to customers through work accuracy and visibility, which is almost instantaneously available back from the field upon work completion.

Director Steve Daly welcomes the dozens of commercial tyre service providers from the smaller dealer community who are embracing the service technology.

“There is an evident awakening towards the general purposefulness of the e-jobsheet app for inspections, fleet audits, supply only, breakdown, scheduled and ad hoc commercial tyre servicing.”
