Supporting Tyre Safety Month? What’s stopping you?

As official supporters of TyreSafe, CAM are proud to support Tyre Safety Month this October. This year’s campaign asks Britain’s motorists ‘What’s stopping you?’ and aims to educate drivers on the importance and benefits of tyre safety.

We’ve compiled our top 5 reasons why we’re passionate about tyre safety and why we’re supporting #TyreSafetyMonth.

  • 10 million illegal tyres on the road – that’s 1 in 4 cars or vans

  • 94% of part worn tyres inspected by TyreSafe were being sold illegally

  • 27.3% of tyres have illegal tread depth

  • 159 people killed or injured from defective tyre related accidents.

  • 1 in 5 people have never checked their tyres.
