TRS Tyres goes live with CAM and e-jobsheet

Lancashire-based TRS Tyres has gone live with CAM software solutions and e-jobsheet to support its commercial tyre service function, as well as enabling the casing company to control its inbound and outbound stock effectively and provide greater visibility of product across its two sites.

The company has opted to integrate CAM’s UniSerV, Cameo, Online Tyre Catalogue (OTC) and e-jobsheet technologies into its mobile service operation, which will enable TRS Tyres to remove back office costs and inaccuracies associated with the manual completion of service work, while improving its customer service through operational responsiveness.

The new implementation will support the launch of its wholesale division and futureproof its business infrastructure for further growth and development.

Nathan Wintrip, operations manager of TRS Tyres, says, “As the business continues to grow year on year, and we expand into the wholesale sector for the first time, this tailored solution designed by CAM will enable us to control our stock and purchasing in a managed way and have financial values at our fingertips rather than having to manually look through piles of invoices and spreadsheets.  CAM has been excellent in understanding our requirements and providing a solution that is multi-site, giving us greater clarity across the business as well as enhancing the customer experience by producing detailed reports for our customers.”

Ryan Naughton, operations director of CAM, adds, “Our project delivery team has shaped an effective solution for TRS Tyres that enables the casings expert to enhance its commercial service business, maintaining full control over its tyre collection functionality, while also improving visibility, productivity and cost-efficiency as well as supporting its wholesale ambitions.”

Brexit Ready: CAM’s new online payment gateway to be introduced in 2020

As Brexit is formalised, CAM is introducing a new online payment gateway in April 2020 that will align with future trading conditions to be negotiated between the UK and its EU trading country partners in the months ahead.  It will also meet the SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) Regulation, part of the EU Revised Directive on Payment Services, which came into force on 14 September 2019, aimed at reducing fraudulent crime associated with online debit and credit card payments.

As e-jobsheet subscriptions continue to grow apace across commercial and fleet tyre service dealers, including new subscriptions on the continent, CAM is anticipating and responding to customers’ needs and requirements as a result of Brexit and beyond, particularly for those operating in and out of the UK, by moving to Stripe, a reputable and flexible global e-commerce payments platform.  The move will make the annual subscriptions process over the Internet easier and more convenient for standalone and integrated e-jobsheet.

Stripe’s payment processing platform, which is trusted by global banks and companies, will enable customers to register once or “as required” to create subscription payments for e-jobsheet rather than having to re-register every year, as has previously been the case.

Stripe also makes life easy for operations that are multi-language, taking the hassle out of setting up e-jobsheet subscriptions across multiple territories.

Steve Daly, director of CAM International, says, “When the new Payment Gateway is launched, and as a subscriber you are mid-way through your annual regime for e-jobsheet, you don’t need to worry about anything until you are coming to the end of it. We at CAM will get in touch and talk you through setting up the new payment process.”
