CAM Developers become Certified Scrum Masters
Congratulations to Asim Baig, Simon Woodland, Joe Goodall, Rob Harber & Ryan Naughton, on achieving Scrum Master Certification.
Since the appointment of CAM’s Chief Technical Officer Rob Harber in December 2019, CAM’s development team have been making the switch to Agile software development. Adopting the ‘Scrum’ methodology has been an important strategic focus in CAM’s commitment to connect the tyre and automotive industry with intelligent, simple to use software. CTO Rob Harber explains.
“Scrum is a powerful framework for implementing agile processes in software development. It is a highly adopted framework that uses short iterations of work, called sprints, and daily meetings, called scrums, to tackle discrete portions of a project in succession until the project is complete.”
“At CAM we’re extremely fortunate to have some of the best developers in our industry, but we need to support that skill and talent with the best processes. And that’s where Scrum comes in.”
Included in the scrum training and now also a Certified Scrum Master is Ryan Naughton, Director at CAM; further demonstrating CAM’s shift to Agile is a commitment coming from the top.
So what differences should CAM customers see in 2021?
“Our unequivocal focus on our customer, their business and connecting them to the wider tyre industry won’t change. But Agile should allow us to offer our customers greater transparency into their development projects, with more predictable deliveries and renewed focus on quality.”
